This Sunday October 8th, Ronaldo Custom Guitars, LLC invites you to come enjoy an afternoon of live Music at the majestic Performing Arts Building located at 3208 Bergenline Avenue, Union City, New Jersey. Festivities will start at 1 PM through 4 PM. Join us for an afternoon of music and merrymaking! Program: At 1:00 PM there will be a reception at the Ronaldo Custom Guitar Gallery, where there will be an unveiling of 3 brand new, artisan Guitar Models handcrafted from exotic woods by world-renowned Luthier Ronaldo Orlandoni: the Ronaldo Standard, the Bad Bird 1 Bass and the King Koa. These one-of-a-kind instruments will be showcased by virtuoso Jazz guitarist Julio Fernandez and multi-talented Natalia Alava, a new mainstay in the local music scene. Veteran world guitarist Dougie Salomone will also take the stage to demo the Ronaldo models in comparison with Fender Stratocasters and Telecasters, as well as other period pieces. Bass player Charles Lambiase, who commissioned The Bad Bird 1, along with many other instrumentalists, will also perform. At 2:30 PM The Grace Theatre Workshop, Inc. will unveil its brand new Black Box Theatre, a 50-seat performance space that aims to give voice to the best local talent in theater, music and the performing arts. Guitarist Natalia Alava will do the honors of inaugurating the stage with a special music performance featuring Ronaldo Custom Guitars. Visitors are welcome to join award-winning sound recordist Franke Estevez in Fuzion Recording Studios in a listening party of locally produced music. The Performing Arts Building is the first of its kind in Union City and is the result of a unique private and public partnership. The mission of this collaboration is to consolidate the community’s effort to promote the arts under one roof. Its driving belief is that what is good for the Arts is good for the Community and good for Business.

Charles Lambiase will perform on Bad Bird 1
Julio Fernandez will demonstrate the new guitars
Cuban American guitarist, Julio Fernandez, grew up in Hoboken, NJ and has been part of the New York area music scene for the past four decades. In the late 70’s & early 80’s Julio worked with songwriter Lou Stallman (It’s Gonna Take a Miracle and the Yankees Theme) as a staff writer for his music publishing company in NYC. This is where he got his experience in songwriting as well as playing and producing in the recording studio. Since then he has worked with many artists including Bernie Williams, Richie Cannata, Dave Samuels, Destiny’s Child, Emanuel, Chuck Loeb, Tommy James, BB King, Eric Marienthal, Marion Meadows, Phoebe Snow, The Sugar Hill Gang, and David Broza, on stage or in the studio. For the past 30 years he’s been a member of the multi Grammy nominated jazz group Spyro Gyra. In addition to touring all over the world and playing on 22 of the band’s 30 albums, he’s contributed over 30 compositions and assisted in the production of the last few albums. Julio still lives in Hudson County and is proud to be a part of the local music music scene. He uses guitars custom built by master luthier Ronaldo Orlandoni at Pastore Music in Union City.
